The design draws upon Nordic architectural traditions and features elements inspired by the American-Nordic landscapes and the dynamic and unpredictable character of its climate and seasons. The four-star, full-service hotel will be a substantial piece of the Viking Lakes mixed-use development, a “live, work, play” destination. Guests will be able to enjoy trails, water and wetland preserves and other experiential amenities. Omni Viking Lakes is anchored by the Minnesota Vikings team headquaters and practice facility. The hotel's design and aesthetic welcome a rich sophistication that draws inspiration from Scandinavian and Nordic culture while weaving in Minnesota's heritage. The décor tells the story of the Viking warriors and their bravery. Neutral colors and refined, soft, clean lines are mixed with a touch of roughness with leather and Hyde furniture and rugs.Within the lobby, guests will find hand-carved wood columns by local artist, Kevin Showell, which portray key characteristics of historic Vikings – Unifying, Innovative and Relentless.
