MALOJA PALACE

?Engadine? means garden of the Inn river in the local Raeto-Romansh language. The source of the Inn river is situated next to the only 4000m high mountain of the eastern Alps, the Piz Bernina. On its way through the Engadine valley the river Inn also passes through the parc of the Maloja Palace Hotel. The area at the foot of the Bernina mountains can quiet rightly be called ?garden?, as they are truly a botanical treasury ? bordering with the Swiss National Park. The Engadine has an average number of 322 days with sun per year. The Maloja Palace is situated in the heart of the Swiss Alps, in the Engadine and at the edge of the Bergell valley, 15 km from St. Moritz. Built in 1884 in beautiful late 19th century neo-renaissance style for the Belgian Count Camille de Renesse, it is today an exclusive alpine resort which offers its guests and their families a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
