The hotel is situated less than 8 km from the winery village of Barr, overlooking a river and surrounded by forest. Both the city of Strasbourg and the city of Colmar are less than an hour's drive away. Located just outside from Barr in the direction of Mont Sainte Odile, the hotel is also close to the Alsatian Wine Route, Obernai, Haut-Koenigsbourg and many walking and mountain biking routes. Strasbourg Airport is just 30 km away.Built in 1800 and renovated in 2011, this charming and very quiet Alsatian-style property is surrounded by a forest, with a river and nice park behind it. Guests are welcomed in the lobby, which offers a hotel safe and cloakroom. There is a bar and the restaurant offers dishes prepared using fresh seasonal produce. There is a long wine list with 1,600 references (Grand Prix de la Presse du Vin, Wine Connoisseur's Gold Award). Wireless Internet access is provided and guests can hire bicycles at the hotel.
